What’s new, version by version.

The app updates itself when you open it — and everyone in the room needs to be on the same version.

  1. v0.23.0 Current

    New update address

    • The app now fetches updates from a new address. Open GoLive at least once so it can update itself — anyone who skips this version needs to download it again from the site.
  2. v0.22.0

    The Table and the new interface

    • Table: a shared space with live screens and cameras, YouTube, Twitch, radio, Spotify Jam, 12 games and tools like poll, scoreboard, wheel and whiteboard.
    • Room type: when creating one, choose between Table and Streams only.
    • New interface: a bottom bar with each person’s screens, chat pinned, peeking or closed, and the Sinal and Sinal light themes.
    • A PIN you choose, or a random one.
    • The same room no longer shows up twice in the network list.
  3. v0.21.0

    A sturdier network

    • The room changes hands within seconds when the creator’s PC refuses the connection (before, about 1 minute).
    • 6-person rooms cost 2 encoders on the streamer’s PC, not 3.
    • Accessibility and typography polish.
  4. v0.20.0

    A frozen screen explains what happened

    • The frame says “No contact with X’s PC”, “X stopped sending video” or “Recovering the picture…”.
    • A short network drop is resumed in place, without restarting the connection.
    • Empty room with the share button; “Monitor 1 (primary)” instead of “Entire screen”.

    Black screen and delayed sound

    • A screen that used to freeze now recovers on its own.
    • Captured sound no longer builds up delay.
    • Notices moved to a single icon in the title bar.
    • Platform updated (Electron 44).
  6. v0.18.1

    The stream that stopped on its own

    • Alt-tabbing with the game on top no longer drops the viewers’ screen.
    • Sound delay capped at 120 ms.
  7. v0.17.0

    Chat, updates and themes with a code

    • Chat with a growing input box, a send button and day separators.
    • Update banner at the top of the lobby.
    • Your own theme with a GL-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX code to send to a friend.
  8. v0.16.0

    A new look

    • The screen comes back on its own after a short network drop.
    • A GoLive theme with the logo’s colors and an app-style home screen.
